Sexual dysfunctions

Sexual dysfunctions can affect both men and women and can manifest itself in different ways, including pain during intercourse (dyspareunia), difficulty maintaining an erection (in men), difficulty to achieve orgasm (anorgasmia), among others. These dysfunctions can have causes physical and/or psychological, and in many cases, the physical causes can be related to the muscles and tissues of the pelvic floor.

  • Female orgasm Dysfunctional (OFD): Refers to the difficulty to achieve orgasm, even with adequate stimulation. It can result in distress and affect sexual satisfaction.
  • Vaginismus: It is characterized by the involuntary contraction of the vaginal muscles, which makes it difficult or impossible penetration. It may be a response to physical or psychological.
  • Pain during Sex: Dyspareunia involves recurrent pain during intercourse. Can be related to various causes, such as problems with physical, emotional, or psychological.
